The Tyny is in the middle of North Wales, with easy access to all it's attractions and splendours. We're family owned and run and offer a very personal service to our guests. We're noted for our relaxed and friendly atmosphere, from our traditional bar areas through to our function and dining room. All our bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard, with high quality fittings & modern showers.

We also have a room with a set two & three bunk beds with Large Shower and facilities as per other rooms. As a lot of our guests enjoy the outdoors we have a drying room, secure cycle storage and launderette. All our front facing rooms, public and bedrooms, look out on Moel Siabod, a solitary, very noticeable mountain. Across the road we have a large car park which also houses our splendid Red & Black Mail Coach, celebrating the historic A5 and its coaching era.

The car park leads to our meadow and the River Llugwy. Here you'll find a deep river pool, perfect for wild swimming, plus many shallow stretches where younger guests can enjoy fishing, paddling or simply skimming stones.
Services
Written notice is defined as a letter, fax or email.
The period of notice is taken from 2.00 p.m. on the proposed day of arrival.
Every effort will be made to re-let the room(s) / facilities.
However if we are unable to re-let any of the facilities we will charge up to two thirds of the total cost of the facilities booked or any subsequent shortfall against the original booking should the room / facilities be relet.
Any cancellation charges will initially be offset against any deposit held and the balance will be charged against the credit card supplied to secure the booking.
There is always a warm welcome at the Tyn-y-Coed from your hosts, Mark, Helen, George & Jayne and our staff.
The same menu and daily specials are served throughout the ground floor, giving a choice of a traditional pub atmosphere in our several bar rooms in the older part of the building, or a more contemporary cafe bar feel in two rooms in the newer part.
The old bar has three open fires in the winter months and a pool table & juke box in the quarry bar.
We use fresh local produce wherever possible, and although we cook most of the menu ourselves we also use good quality items produced locally such as Patchwork pate from Ruthin and award winning sausages from Edwards of Conwy.
