Pyegreave Cottage is a character stone cottage, converted from 300 year old stables and many of the original features, including oak beams and stone alcoves have been retained. The cottage sits on the hillside outside the village of Combs, near Chapel-en-le-Frith. The stables formed part of one of the old barns on Pyegreave Farm, which in 1840 was purchased at a local auction by Florence Nightingale's father who lived in the village for a considerable time.

The cottage has outstanding views down the Combs valley, up to Castle Naze and Combs Moss and is situated in the Peak District National Park, Britain's first National Park. The Peak District National Park is famous for a combination of soft and rugged beauty which can be found in its moors, fields and woodlands which have an abundance of wildlife.

There are also many sports and activities catered for nearby. We have been awarded a 4 star Gold award rating by Quality in Tourism of which we are very proud.
