There is a bus service that runs up and down Swaledale call The Little White Bus.

read more › From the A1 leave at Scotch Corner and join the A6108 sign posted for Richmond. Follow this road through Richmond (sign posted for Leyburn and Reeth) for approximately 6 miles, then bear right and join the B6270 (sign posted Reeth and Kirkby Stephen) for approximately 15 miles. This road will take you through the villages of Grinton, Reeth, Healaugh, Low Row, Gunnerside, Muker and on to Thwaite. From the M6 leave at Junction 38 and take the second exit at the roundabout on to the A685 (sign posted for Brough).
