We aim to offer the best in Cumbrian hospitality, with comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation in a convenient location just 5 minutes from the M6 and A66 and 5 minutes level walk to the centre of Penrith. Located on the Land's End' John O'Groats and C2C cycle routes it is also the perfect overnight stop for cyclists.

A great base for walking in the Northern Fells and The Ullswater Way. The house retains many original features while all rooms are decorated in a fresh contemporary style with comfortable beds and all the facilities that you need for a relaxing stay. We regret to inform we will only be taking one night bookings through this website or telephone for the forthcoming season and no longer through any booking agent.

Within the 19th century exterior you will find many original features while our rooms have all you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The guest house offers easy access to many places of interest such as Ullswater and Ullswater Steamers, Rheged Discovery Centre, Lowther Castle Gardens, Hutton in the Forest and Dalemain country house, which are all within a few minutes drive.
The main Lake District and Eden Valley attractions are also readily accessible, many by public transport.
We have secure storage for cycles and are very used to helping dry wet cycling gear!
Penrith is an attractive market town with over 1000 years of history.
It is located at the junction of the M6 motorway with the A66 trunk road (M6 Junction 40).
With a station on the main West Coast railway line, the town is easily accessible by car, coach or rail.
Having great accessibility and a wide range of shops and places to eat, Penrith is excellent for an overnight stay during your cycle or car tour and a great base for visiting the famous sights of the North West.
The Lake District is only a few minutes drive away while Hadrian's Wall, the Pennines, Eden Valley and Yorkshire Dales are little further.
This is due south and within 4-5 minutes walk of Penrith town centre.
The Guest House offers easy access to all of Penrith's facilities and to key attractions in the locality.
There is disc-controlled curb side parking to the front of the house and private off-street parking to the rear.
From M6 Junction 40 - Take the A66 signposted Brough and Scotch Corner.
At the first roundabout, after approximately 3/4 mile, turn left into Bridge Lane.
Head in to Penrith for about 1/2 mile to the first set of traffic lights.
