Avonmore Hotel is minutes from the British museum, British library, Covent Garden, Leicester Square and walking distance from Russel Square underground station and Kings Cross mainline station.
The location was excellent, an easy 5 minute walk to the tube and the British Museum. The included breakfast fueled us for a day of sightseeing and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

There is only one line, the Piccadilly, take that to Russell Square underground station, the Hotel is a few minutes walk.
From Gatwick Airport: Take the express train to Victoria and catch a taxi (8-10) or the Thameslink british rail to king's cross, alternately you can take the tube to Euston or Russell Square both very near.
Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras Stations, You can walk from either of those mainline stations.
