Tam and Sandra would like to welcome you to Duirinish Guest House situated in Portree, the Isle of Skye's largest town. Duirinish is located on Viewfield Road and only a five-minute walk from the lively town centre, where there are parks, restaurants, pubs, shops, banks and the harbour where boat trips and fishing can be arranged. We are also only a short distance from the Aros Visitor Centre with its shops, restaurant, and small theatre and cinema.
Portree is an ideal place to base yourself for all your holiday activities on the Isle of Skye. Exploring castles and museums or walking, cycling or climbing in the famous Cuillin mountains and surrounding countryside. You can also enjoy a truly Scottish round of golf or simply indulge in 'a wee dram' at the famous Talisker distillery ' nothing on the Isle of Skye is too far away!

We dreamed of running a Guest house for a number of years and after our daughter studied in the university in 2019, our dream started to grow arms and legs.
We love the Isle of Skye.
When we made our decision to move away from Edinburgh.
It is the first place jump into our mind.
My husband Tam who used to be a Taxi driver in Edinburgh, worked most of the nights, we rarely have time together.
Now we work hard together in our dream house and will offer the best service to you.
The Isle of Skye is beautiful and we are you will not be disappointed with the wonderful scenery where-ever you go on the island.

Please inform us in writing as soon as you know you need to cancel your booking so we can try to re-sell the rooms.
We will do everything we can to fill the cancellations, and between mid-April to mid Oct we rarely have problems selling rooms.
We do recommend that you have travel insurance in the event of cancellation at short notice.
Please note, if we are unable to re-sell rooms cancelled at short notice (10 days or less) we will charge for the cost of your stay.
If we resell the room, we will refund you.
