Gate Cottage Rest Home
As a small care home, it's a point of pride to ensure that each resident gets the personal attention - and respect - they deserve. We'll welcome you into the Gate Cottage family, so you feel right at home. At Gate Cottage we believe that care is about more than just making you feel safe and looked-after. That's why we spend time finding out what you're interested in and what you like to do - and then see how we can help to make that happen.

It's this 360 degree care that makes Gate Cottage feel like your own home. When Gate Cottage welcomed its first residents back in 1990, it was run by husband and wife team Michael and Brenda. Today, it's son and daughter Mark and Jo - together with a team of dedicated staff - who create the family atmosphere that makes this such a special place. Thank you all so much for the wonderful care and attention you have given our mum over the years that she has been with you.

We were truly lucky when we had the good fortune to be offered your amazing care home for her.
Services
Our carefully selected staff share the same values and diligent approach to caring as we do - that's why some of them have been with us for more than 15 years.
This continuity of care means we're able to build and nurture long-standing relationships with our residents who enjoy the familiar, family atmosphere it creates.
Our residents are always encouraged to build relationships, with each other and our teams, but also are given privacy to enjoy quiet moments in their own space.
At Gate Cottage we know that emotional well-being is as important as physical wellbeing, which is why we use our years of experience to provide an environment that's stimulating as well as secure.
We think Gate Cottage is a special place and we want to share that feeling with you.
So alongside a day-to-day duty of care, we also offer any support and guidance you might need in order to take part in activities in the home or in and around the village.
All meals are made from scratch using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients (you won't find a frozen meal on your plate and that's a promise).
We've always believed that a healthy and varied menu is an important and enjoyable part of life here at Gate Cottage, and our talented family cooks delight in delivering just that, every day.
Gate Cottage welcomed its first residents in 1990.
It was family-run then by the husband and wife team of Michael and Brenda, and today their son Mark and daughter Jo are proud to carry on the family tradition, bringing the care and attention to detail that only comes with years of experience.
The staff here share our commitment to first class care, and some have been part of the Gate Cottage family for more than 15 years.
Currently Gate Cottage is managed by daughter Jo and her deputies Tracey and Georgia.
Gate Cottage sits at the heart of the beautiful village of Rottingdean on the outskirts of Brighton in East Sussex, within walking distance of the seafront and only a short drive from the South Downs and the city of Brighton and Hove.
Although peaceful, Rottingdean has a lot to offer and a large variety of activities take place throughout the year.
Whether you enjoy plays, concerts, bowls, croquet, painting, Bridge or just socialising, you'll find there's plenty to do in and around Rottingdean.
