Tennants Arms Hotel
We invite you to eat, sleep and discover the Yorkshire Dales with The Tennants Arms Hotel as your base. Enjoy our traditional country inn with 10 boutique hotel rooms. Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the beautiful village of Kilnsey, nestled beneath Kilnsey Crag, our guests are granted spectacular views over the Dales countryside.

The hostelry was once an important coaching stop on the busy route from Richmond to London and retains much of it's authentic rustic charm. The 'back road' from Grassington to Kettlewell, passing through Conistone, is designated as a cycleway, and from time to time is used for internationally acclaimed cycle races. For walking and hiking you will find no better area than Kilnsey and Conistone in Upper Wharfedale.

Close to the Dales Way, Mastiles Lane, Scott Gate Lane and Bycliffe Road, you can set off with a guidebook from our doorstep in any direction and explore a myriad of footpaths and bridleways, both easy and challenging. Our gastro-inn is a place to take time out and relax, enjoy a pint in passing, take delight in a pub meal and if you wish to stay longer, check in to one of our boutique, en-suite rooms at the hotel.

Open for lunch and dinner within this luxury boutique hotel, the restaurant serves locally sourced Yorkshire Dales produce alongside a good range of cask ales and fine wines.

If you opt to visit by train, head for Skipton, which is a 20-minute taxi ride through 12 miles of stunning scenery from the hotel.
You can also reach us by the public bus service from Skipton and Grassington.
The market town of Grassington is just 3 mlies away, as is the hiking village of Kettlewell.
Garland-Jones Catering is a privately owned company by the chef-proprietor of The Tennants Arms Hotel, Tom Garland-Jones.
Outside catering and private events became a natural growth area for us, stemming from the numerous marquee wedding celebrations held each summer on the Kilnsey Park Estate fields opposite our hotel.
Every event is unique, whether it is a romantic wedding in a beautiful marquee or rustic barn, a barbecue in the privacy of your own home or an individual corporate event.
One thing they all have in common though, is mouth-watering food, stunning presentation and wonderful service.
