Situated in the Medieval village of Dunster within Exmoor National Park, we are the perfect place to get away from normality and have a chance to relax in this beautiful area. We offer a warm welcome to all who want to enjoy the magnificent surroundings of Exmoor and West Somerset, including dogs! Being in this stunning area, we are able to specialise in walking holidays and many special interest breaks.

We are open for bookings and enquiries and hope to welcome you when the virus permits - Stay safe at home until then. Out hotel is ideally located in the centre of the medieval village of Dunster, perfect for visiting Dunster Castle, West Somerset Railway and Exmoor National Park. Dunster is accredited as a "Walkers are Welcome" village and our hotel team can provide maps, together with local knowledge, to plan the best walks in the area.

Services
The hire of our smaller suite is available from 75 +VAT per day; this would include exclusive use of the room from 9am to 5pm.
To ensure your conference is exactly how you would like, you can choose from the following options to tailor your day to your needs.
Buffet Lunch - A selection of cold meats & local cheese, mixed salads and hot potatoes OR soup, a selection of sandwiches and chips.
We are situated in the centre of the ancient village of Dunster in Exmoor National Park.
The village is overlooked by its fairy tale castle, the historic octagonal market building stands directly outside the hotel.
The village contains numerous individual shops and the UK's largest Rohan store is located at the approach to the village.
Dunster Castle and gardens, a National Trust property is a short walk along the High Street and adjoins the working Dunster Watermill where you can buy locally milled flour.
Your pet is welcome in one of our dog-friendly bedrooms.
Please ask when booking as we do keep a certain number of bedrooms designated as "pet free" for guests with allergies.
There is no charge for dogs providing no damage is caused.
We do not allow dogs in our main restaurant, but we have a smaller dining room in which you can have your meal with the company of your canine companion.
Dunster is one of the largest and most complete medieval villages in England.
The fairy-tale castle overlooks the village and the folly tower at the other end of the village makes a good viewing point.
The old yarn market still stands proud in the High Street, outside the hotel.
There is so much to discover you can spend a whole day here.
Dunster Castle sits high on Dunster Tor.
It is worthy of a guided tour to see the fascinating interior brought to life.
It is over 1000 years old and was once the home to the Luttrells who gave it to the National Trust in 1976.
If you have always wanted to walk the South West Coast Path, or wish to revisit it and would like to join in for a guided walking holiday, we have a break for the first 35 miles of the coast path from Minehead to Combe Martin on the above dates.
Spectacular views will be enjoyed all along the route.
The daily walks are between 7 to 10 miles and paced to suit all.
Your stay is based at the Yarn Market Hotel with the benefit of not having to pack luggage for transfers as you sleep in the same bed every night, and transport is provided to and from the start and finish of each day's walk.
