Langton House Bed & Breakfast
Langton House Bed and Breakfast Windsor, UK was built around 1890. We have it mentioned on maps dated 1895 and knowing the approximate age of buildings in the same area we can be pretty sure it falls into this rough age group. In 1963 it was in the background of a film called "Carry On Cabby" and can be seen below with one of the "GlamCabs" in the foreground.

Another of our guests arrived with some very interesting documents that showed her as a baby sitting outside the front of the building. First we see the old building not too long after it was built with a high front wall with railings. In the front garden on the left is a white stone piller.

Langton House is a Victorian town house set in a quiet leafy tree lined road in the heart of Windsor.
Built in about 1890 it was a residence for Queen Victoria's minor government officials.
During the time I have been running the B&B I have had a couple of guests who used to actually live here when it was a private house.
One in particular was researching her past and had pictures of her as a baby sitting outside the front of the house with her Grandmother who lived here for a few years.
Another guest wanted to stay because he had been born here!
What more could you what from your stay? - Paul extremely friendly; food excellent and room good size and clean.
Langton was only 10 minute walk from Windsor centre.
Great value for money!
We were very comfortable at Langton House; your facilities are excellent.
Breakfast was great and I wish more guesthouses/B&B's provided a little kitchen like yours which is perfect for longer stays.
We spent our last day in England in Windsor, 20 miles west of London and a logical final stop for our trip because of its proximity to Heathrow Airport, a 15-minute cab ride away.
He writes and presents his TV shows in the USA with flair and a great sense of humour - I really enjoyed meeting Rick and swapping a few travel stories!
This was not the first time Rick had been to Langton House, but this was the first time he stayed here.
Robin was playing a one night gig at the local arts centre in Windsor.
I really enjoyed the short chat we had and found out that he had a really great sense of humour and was my total pleasure to have been able to look after him.
Next time I hope Robin has a chance to stay longer.
The Great Park extends from Windsor towards Ascot, it is well famed for it beautiful landscapes and rolling hills.
The main view of the Castle is from the Long Walk, a 3 mile tree lined roadway, extending from the castle into the park, ending in the statue of the Copper Horse.
Windsor Great Park covers 4,800 acres, parts of which are open to the public.
Its present area was determined in the 1360s and was popular with Saxon kings as a hunting forest.
The park is shrouded in mystery and legend and for over 1,000 years the story of Herne the Hunter has been told.
