Based in Buxton, we are perfectly situated for anyone looking to get married or holiday in Derbyshire or the Peak District. Set in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park, this family-run venue and accommodation is truly stunning. Built-in 1899, Hargate Hall is a unique building in Buxton, surrounded by the beautiful Derbyshire landscape.

This large country house is situated in over seven acres of grounds, and looks out onto the picturesque views of the Peak District. Because of this, it makes the perfect venue for wedding or a party venue. Hargate Hall also provides luxury self-catering accommodation for short breaks and holidays. Hargate Hall offers a wonderful location to hold your wedding and reception.

We have 2 licensed indoor rooms for civil ceremonies. Additionally an outside oak gazebo and summer house are also licensed. DIY weddings, wedding marquee hire and weekend weddings are all options. You also have all the accommodation, which can sleep up to 77 guests. Hargate Hall's self-catering accommodation also makes the perfect place for your midweek getaway, weekend break or extended holiday to the Peak District.

Hargate Hall is situated in Wormhill, Buxton, it was built in 1899 by the original owner Joesph Wainwright, but during construction ownership changed to Robert Whitehead.
The building was completed under Whitehead's ownership with some additions to the original plans.
When he took over Hargate Hall he added the extra storey to the tower above the front door and added a coach house (now our house), Although now private houses, he also added the lodge, stables, orangery and potting shed.
Robert Whitehead was a successful businessman who had multiple interests such as Ex-Sheriff of Derbyshire.

All the apartments at Hargate Hall have at least one bathroom with a either a shower or a shower over the bath, a fully fitted kitchen, dining table and chairs, sofas, TV, DVD players.
Additionally, Balmoral, Windsor and Sandringham apartments also have dishwashers.
