Border Cottage Care
The Carer's at Border Cottage Care provide support to the elderly, physically and mentally disabled adults who want to remain independent in their own home within the Wakefield District. For most people our support is a direct alternative to residential care or a nursing home. Our specialist CARER'S can provide support in personal care, hydration, nutrition, medication and social support.

We can offer support from 30mins to 24 hours a day. At Border Cottage Care we actively promote and encourage independent living and feel that with our commitment to quality and support you will receive a flexible and individually designed care package to enable you to remain independent within your own home. In addition to our homecare we also can offer a Social inclusion Day Centre for vulnerable adults situated at our address.

We will be supporting older people/Physical disabilities/Learning disabilities on different days. Our aim is to provide a stimulating setting for like minded people to socialise.
Services
Sarah said In our industry, Service users were not getting the same carer every day and they would be asking the service user same questions every morning.
It is important to have a relationship there especially where personal care and medication is involved.
It is not very nice to have different carers providing personal care on a daily basis.
Richard said Based on family personal experience we decided to set up a care agency where the same carers would visit the same people on a permanent basis.
We can provide support for adults who require specialist care.
All specialist care is overseen by a Band 6+ nurse who provides all training/competencies and audits.
This means that your relative receives professional care as required and can feel safe and supported in his or her own home.
The Day Centre will provide support on different days for Older people with and without dementia, Learning and physical disabilities.
Caring for people suffering from dementia or similar is always a challenge for family members and carers alike.
Father, mother, grandmother: suddenly they can't remember a loved one any more and feel unsure about their environment.
That's when a professional, loving and well-structured Day centre of care is extremely important.
We have the special conditions needed to support them while at the Day centre which provides respite for family.
The Day Centre will provide support on different days for Older people with and without dementia, Learning and physical disabilities.
