On a warm sunny day you can also enjoy your refreshment in our delightful garden. Glengarry is situated amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland and the town of Kingussie is part of the Cairngorms National Park.

The house is set in its own mature gardens with ample car parking space within the grounds. The garden provides a haven for wildlife, you may even catch a glimpse of a red squirrel or two whilst having your breakfast.
Services
We have two double, one twin and one single room and can offer single occupancy of the double and twin rooms.
Comfy beds with special dual purpose mattresses - cool in the summer and warm in the winter - you won't want to get up.
All rooms have hospitality trays, TV's, magazines, books, hair dryers, fresh flowers and all those little extras to make your stay a home from home experience and much more.
Glengarry was built in 1898 by Jonathan MacDonald, a labourer who eventually became County Surveyor, on land bought from the landowner, James E. B. Baillie of Dochfour.
The house is a typcial stone-built villa similar to many in the town and the surrounding area.
A small cottage was originally situated in the grounds of the house which was used in the summer months by the family to enable the main house to be let to wealthy city families for the season.
Immediately opposite the house is a footpath leading to the High Streeet known as Jonathan's Brae and named after the original owner of Glengarry.
Delicious breakfasts, freshly cooked will set you up for a day exploring the delights of Scotland.
We grow a wide variety of soft fruits which are used in various ways, in season, at breakfast and also for making our jams, jellies and juices.
These can be combined with our homemade plain or fruit yoghourt.
The more exotic fruits, which cannot be grown in Scotland, are sourced from as close to home as possible.
The Hot Smoked Salmon, Haddock, Kippers, Smoked Salmon and Mackerel all come from Craigellachie smokery and Gourmet Foods in Portsoy on the Moray Coast and are freshly delivered twice a week.
Living in such a beautiful area of Scotland and within the Cairngorms National Park, we would like our guests to enjoy the natural and cultural heritage of this area without impacting on the environment.
We try to live and work in a sustainable way so that future generations will have the opportunity to experience this heritage.
As a 4 Star Gold business we are committed to providing a quality experience and to this end endeavour to minimise our impact and that of our business on the environment in line with current legislation.
The garden at Glengarry has something special for every season.
There are many unusual specimen plants first introduced to the garden in the 1960s by a Professor who loved gardening.
At that time the garden was much larger than it is now taking in the whole of the next door property and was split into sections for plants, vegetables and fruit trees.
Since purchasing Glengarry in 1998 we have endeavoured to resurrect the garden to what it would have been like in its heyday.
As we have no pictures or plans we hope we have succeeded as much as possible.
