White Lodge Hotel
Relaxation and comfort is at the heart of everything we do, so if you are looking for a break at a good quality hotel with sea views and friendly service, then the White Lodge Hotel is for you. Idyllically located at the end of Filey's famous Victorian Crescent, the White Lodge enjoys unsurpassed views of Filey Bay and Brigg from the majority of the rooms as well as from the bar, lounge, and restaurant.

Filey is a hidden gem on the Yorkshire Coast with miles of beach to enjoy and explore - yet only seven miles south of the historic and popular resort of Scarborough and eight miles north of the world famous RSPB Reserve and Bempton Cliffs. The hotel has twenty double en-suite rooms; a restaurant, bar and residents lounge as well as a large outside terrace.

A private dining room for parties and special events is also available. The terrace is enjoyed in the summer sunshine and many wrap up to enjoy it in the cooler months. Or sit by one of the real log fires in the lounge while enjoying a coffee or a cognac.
Services
The story of the White Lodge Hotel began in 1856 when a private residence, the South Crescent Villa was built.
It was a substantial fourteen room property, boasting its own wine cellar, stables, coach house, greenhouse and lawn tennis court.
The villa was part of a small group of properties built on South Crescent.
The Ravine Hall, in the grounds behind the hotel, has sadly been demolished, leaving Langford Villa, just two doors along from The White Lodge, as the oldest survivor of these graceful villas.
Most of the bedrooms have been decorated with a subtle seaside accent.
Our beds are sourced from Yorkshire based Harrison Spinks, wallpaper from Jessica Hogarth of Whitby and artwork from Staithes artist Ian Mitchell.
As the hotel sits in a beautiful setting, most of our rooms have sea views, some with balconies, some combining a Crescent view, others overlook the leafy Glen Gardens.
The hotel began life as a Victorian villa, affording each room its own unique character and charm.
All bedrooms have en suite facilities, some with both a shower and a bath, others with a shower.
The wine offering focusses on wines that are not slavishly from the New World or stubbornly from the Old.
Whilst a New Zealand Viognier maybe present, you won't have to look too hard to find a reliable claret.
Expect to see a good selection of single malt Scotch whiskies, plus a decent smattering from further afield.
Of course, gin lovers are not ignored and whilst we can't boast five hundred for you to pour over, the ones we have picked reflect extensive research!
Fear not beer lovers, we will always have a well-kept local cask ale, plus others beers and lagers on keg.
The White Lodge Hotel, with its generously proportioned private dining room, is the natural venue to host significant life events and special family celebrations.
It also lends itself perfectly to meetings, conferences and also acts as a resource for local initiatives.
The room also plays host to an array of fun occasions, from theatre dinners, opera nights and food and wine tastings.
This space also benefits from a private entrance, should you wish to add a bespoke theme to your event.
Many celebrations are different and require a personal offering.
With its views down Filey's elegant Crescent, our lounge, with its real fires, broadsheet newspapers and quality magazines is the perfect place to relax.
Enjoy our freshly ground coffee, the finest teas and our legendary home made shortbread.
Indulge yourself with a full traditional afternoon tea, served daily from 1pm to 5pm.
If you're feeling particularly decadent why not add a glass of champagne to further enhance this quintessentially British tradition.
