Welcome to our award winning peaceful 19th Century former fisherman's cottage right on the beach on the South Lakeland coast. It offers spectacular uninterrupted views from every window - the sea to the front and rolling National Trust farmland to the rear set in this unique and unspoilt Area of Outstanding National Beauty on the edge of the Lake District National Park.

A warm, welcoming and stylish holiday home that lives up to the beauty of its location. Fishermans has recently undergone a top to toe renovation to provide an exceptional standard of luxury accommodation with comfort and character. We have used natural materials throughout such as slate flooring, wool carpets and blankets from Lakeland, wool rugs, a solid oak kitchen and flooring, cotton fabrics and towels and feather bedding.

We have also installed modern quality appliances and home entertainments and there are plenty of good books and reading material. Its quality, tradition and location combine to give you the perfect environment in which to unwind and an ideal base from which to explore the many delights of this rich and unspoilt region.
Services
The living room has a relaxing cast iron wood burning stove and a squashy sofa and armchairs from which to enjoy the sea view from the picture window.
There is also a flat screen TV, DVD and Hi-Fi with a good supply of films and DVD's.
The well equipped dining kitchen also has its own wood burning stove and there is a modern double oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave.
There is also a small but perfectly formed utility room with washer and dryer.
The ground floor also has a small bathroom with a shower - great for hosing down sandy children (and adults) coming in off the beach!
The front of the cottage overlooks the sea with spectacular views across the bay to the Lakeland Fells beyond.
There is an enclosed porch with 2 seats and then a garden area with garden furniture including table, chairs, loungers and a bench and there are steps leading directly onto the beach.
It's perfect for barbequing or just to sit and watch the seabirds, take in the views, the glorious sunsets over the Bay or the starlit night sky.
The track on which you will access Fishermans is private so the only traffic you will hear is the odd car visiting our neighbours in our row of 6 cottages.
Fishermans is perfectly located in a region with a wealth of attractions on the edge of the Lake District National Park.
Silverdale village is within a 5 minute walk with 2 pubs serving food, a restaurant, 2 caf's - one with a craft gallery, a farm selling its homemade ice cream and good local shops.
There is also an 18 hole golf course and a holiday park offering a swimming pool and gym.
The wider area also has many excellent places to eat with award winning local produce of fish, meats and cheeses.
