If you are looking for somewhere special to stay while exploring Exmoor's hills and coast, Tudor Cottage - once a 15th Century farmhouse - may well be the B&B for you. Set in the peaceful National Trust village of Bossington, with its thatched cottages, flower-filled gardens, wooded coombes and a magnificent shingle beach just a ten minute level stroll away, Tudor Cottage is well-placed for exploring Exmoor National Park with its huge views, iconic ponies and red deer herds.

Relaxed and friendly, but with little touches of luxury, many guests come back time and time again to this comfortable cottage to look at the views from the garden, enjoy a hearty breakfast and a home-cooked evening meal, and leave the world and its worries behind for a few days. Luggage Transfer Ltd can transfer luggage if you are walking the South West Coast Path or Coleridge Way.

The location, we think, verges on the idyllic.
Set on the coastal fringe of Exmoor National Park, there is so much to see and do; picture-perfect villages to explore, excellent walking, riding and cycling opportunities, looking for Exmoor ponies and red deer, bird watching, fishing, field sports, museums to visit and many events take place throughout the year.
Built before Christopher Columbus sailed westwards, Tudor Cottage is a very old house so the floors can be uneven in places, there are a couple of low beams and the rooms are modest in size, but to stay somewhere that was built while the Aztec empire was at its height and has been lived in by generations of country folk - well, let your imagination get in touch with history!
A lovely double aspect twin room that can be requested as a super king-size when booking.
Bossington's private shower room with wc and basin is a few paces away, key and robes provided.
Our cosiest room has its own private shower room with wc and basin just a few paces away, key and robes provided.
Our three first-floor bedrooms are warm and welcoming and look across our paddock to the ancient woodland on Bossington Hill.
Comfortable mattresses, independent heating controls and a very quiet location should give you a great night's sleep.
On the A39 from Minehead, turn right, signposted Allerford and Bossington, just before a sharp left hand bend.
Coming from Porlock turn left more or less on the bend - it looks like straight on.
Follow the lane through Allerford and continue for just over half a mile.
Pass the Owl and Hawk Centre on the left, over a narrow bridge on a left hand bend and keep right across Bossington Green immediately in front of you.
Normal check in is between 4pm and 6pm but we are happy to welcome guests at other times by prior arrangement.
