Cardhu Country House
An exclusive rural retreat in Speyside Whisky Country offering luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation. Cardhu Country House is at the very heart of the Whisky Trail where more than half of Scotlands malt whisky distilleries are to be found. The house is situated only a mile from the River Spey, famous for its fine salmon fishing, and from the Speyside Way, a long distance walking and cycling route which links the Cairngorms to the Moray Coast.

Cardhu Country House is stately accommodation in Speyside, Scotland. Our accommodation has six individually designed, themed, en-suite bedrooms named after local Speyside distilleries. A wide array of exciting outdoor activities are available locally and a number of famous golf courses are within easy driving distance. Trips and activities can be arranged by request.

Cardhu House is a former manse, which has been lovingly restored to offer luxurious accommodation over three floors. Contemporary en-suite bathrooms have been added to the six spacious bedrooms.

All are stylishly furnished and extremely comfortable.
Three of the rooms have super king-sized beds but there is also the option to arrange these beds as spacious singles on request.
This first floor bedroom is named after the elegant single malt from the wild and remote setting of Glenlivet.
This is the largest of the six bedrooms in Cardhu House and it brings to life the colours of the local heathers and hillls.
Whether you are looking for gentle recreational cycling or extreme mountain biking the area immediately around Cardhu Country House has everything to offer.
Directly from the house are a number of interesting cross country and road routes to follow.
The house is situated a mile off the route which runs over a sixty five mile stretch between Aviemore and Buckie.
Although it's a long distance walking route, cycling is permitted.
From the rugged Cairngorms it follows the course of the Spey through the Moray countryside passing through valleys, forests, fields and hills, on and off road, to the coast.
The River Spey is renowned as one of the best salmon and sea trout rivers in the world and fishermen from every corner come year after year to test themselves against the 'king of fish' in what is recognised as some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland.
Cardhu Country House is perfectly situated in the heart of Knockando Estate which houses some of the best beats in the area.
It has three and a half miles of superb double bank fishing, comprising of three connecting beats, incorporating 26 main pools, can take up to 11 rods and can be fished from the bank, the boat or by wading.
Challenging links courses are spread along the shores of the Moray coast and the rugged and spectacular scenery of the Highland Courses is second to none.
Forres, Elgin, Rothes, Nairn, Spey Bay, Lossiemouth, and Grantown on Spey all boast excellent courses within easy driving distance.
Renowned as a demanding test of sporting skill and for its magnificent setting "The Boat" is wonderfully presented and dubbed as "the Gleneagles of the North".
A traditional links course widely known as one of the best courses in Scotland it tests the skills of amateur and professional alike.
Shifting shingle shores at Spey Bay, the tidal flats of Findhorn Bay Local Nature Reserve and Lossie river mouth all provide sheltered waters and fast food for a vast array of wildfowl and waders.
Between Culbin and Roseisle is one of the largest dune systems in Britain and the estuaries are designated areas because of the bird life.
Burghead with its working harbour and ancient citadel was the capital of the Northern Picts.
The nearby dune sandstone ridge was formed when Moray was a red-hot desert.
