If you're doing the North Coast 500 Route then we're probably one of the most convenient places to stay in Caithness, we're situated on the main road that passes through Wick, and very centrally located for you to enjoy all the town and its surrounding area has to offer.We offer our guests free and secure off-road parking within the hotel grounds.

Our car park is protected by CCTV 24 hours a day, and they're always someone around to keep an eye on things. You can rest assured that your vehicle and personal belongings are being looked after.

Whaligoe, is a small port which was prospected by Thomas Telford in 1786 during his tour of northern fishing harbours for the British Fishing Society.
So much of Caithness is hidden from the casual visitor; the abundant wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, precarious cliff-top castle ruins, mysterious brochs and standing stones - we have it all.
The Pilot House is a small iconic building which overlooks Wick Harbour and the Bay, built in 1908 it was used as a pilot station for the local ships pilots, closed in 1953 it was abandoned until 1974 when local historian Ian Sutherland decided that it needed to be preserved so he acquired the building and began to repair and restore it.
The building is pretty much exactly as it was when it closed and nowadays you can visit the Pilot House weekdays from 10 am until 1pm where you can enjoy a cup tea or coffee some home baking and a blether with the locals.
Caithness is often referred to as "The Lowlands beyond the Highlands" or "The land of the big sky".
There are few locations in the UK, which can match this area for outstanding natural beauty.
The scenery is spectacular and full of contrasts.
Craggy cliffs sheltering peaceful harbours; unspoilt beaches settled within a rugged coastline; moorland wilderness with majestic mountains on the horizon.
