Services
Westerclose warmly welcomes individuals and families, dogs and horses.
Our accommodation comprises four comfortably furnished dog-friendly holiday cottages and an apartment in a peaceful courtyard setting, sleeping between 2 and 6 people, with everything you need for a well-deserved holiday, whether you want to relax or have an action packed Exmoor break!
The cottages each have their own private gardens and ample parking immediately outside the front door.
The spacious apartment (Heather View) has its own independent entrance within Westerclose House and enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Our dog-friendly cottages have enclosed lawned gardens and are "dog-proof".
Each has direct access into a further large lawn/paddock with a pathway leading into Kitridge Lane with off-road footpaths or down to the village.
As we have free range chickens and ducks, also sheep and horses, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst walking to and from your cottage.
Dogs must not be left unattended in cottages - if you're unable to take your dog with you when you're going out, we're happy to discuss alternative arrangements (such as on-site kennels, dog-cages, dog-sitting etc) by prior arrangement.
Exmoor is an activity-packed place, whether you are looking for a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle or an active break for you and your family.
For an active holiday there are miles of wonderful walks or cycle rides, or horse riding across the myriad of bridleways over the moor.
Fishermen can fish beautiful fast flowing rivers or still waters, or take a boat sea fishing from various coastal ports.
Or just unwind by visiting one of the fabulous open gardens or National Trust houses within a short drive of Westerclose.
