This single storey character Dorset farm cottage was the original 'Old Wagon House'. The spacious sitting room has a galleried ceiling exposing the old beams and an inglenook fireplace with wood burner. Little Coombe has the charm of an old Dorset barn with the luxury of a modern kitchen and new ensuite bathrooms. Bookham Farm is a 650 acre Dorset farm that has been in the Foot family since the mid 1800's, six generations.
It is predominantly a Beef and Arable farm, with 4 luxury holiday cottages - Bookham Court.
In 2001 the redundant farm buildings at Bookham Farm were sympatheticaly converted into self catering holiday cottages with a games room and fishing lake.
This were followed in 2005 by the conversion of an old farmstead off Bookham Lane into Crowthorne Cottage.
Much of the farm is in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, with 6 metre margins left around the arable fields to encourage wildlife.

From the south turn right 0.75 miles out of Alton Pancras and from the north turn left a mile out of Buckland Newton (at the Bookham Court and Farmhouse Accommodation signs).
Crowthorne Cottage is situated on the second bend.
For Great Coombe, Little Coombe and the Wagon House, proceed up the hill, down the other side and the cottages are on the right hand side at the bottom of the hill.
For Whiteways Bed and Breakfast turn right at the top of the hill and we are 100m on the left.
