If coming by car from the M27, any sat-nav you use is likely to advise you to turn off at junction 1 and travel via the A337 through Lyndhurst to get to Brockenhurst.
However, there can be a bit of a tailback of traffic waiting for the traffic light changes to go round the one-way system in Lyndhurst and we have found it to be easier to take the exit at Junction 2, signposted for Fawley then to follow the truck signs for Lyndhurst down the A326 then the A35 before picking up the signs for Brockenhurst when you arrive at Lyndhurst.
