Twinkle Cottage Day Nursery Ltd is based on quality care and learning from the ages of 3 months to 5 years. All babies, toddlers and children are treated as individuals and the experienced, qualified practitioners ensure that not only the children's basic needs are met, but that each baby and child goes home at the end of the day having had an exciting, stimulating and most of all happy day!
We strive to build genuine, trusting relationships with parents/carers and work alongside each family on an individual basis to ensure that nursery is a positive experience for everybody! We understand that leaving your baby or child will probably be a difficult experience. Twinkle Cottage has a comprehensive yet flexible approach to settling in to ensure that transitions between home and nursery are smooth and stress free.

Twinkle Cottage is the second nursery for owner Lorraine Gahagan who also owns Twinkle Star Day Nursery in the North End area of Portsmouth.
Twinkle Cottage thrives on building strong relationships with families that use the setting and has also built up good links with the local children's centre and the library.
We often find ourselves all working alongside each other in the community.
We often visit the library and the children's centre and parents and carers are always welcome to come along to see what is going on!

At Twinkle Cottage we fully understand that young children need energy (in the form of calories from food) and nutrients such as protein, carbohydrate, vitamins and minerals to make sure that their bodies work properly and grow.
At the cottage we provide snacks and high tea (2.50 for children upstairs).
All the food that is provided by the nursery is healthy and nutritious.
The food is prepared on the premises in our kitchen that was rewarded a 5 out of 5 from The Food Standard Agency.
