The Ox House is a beautifully presented single storey stone barn conversion set within our 200 acre livestock farm which is situated on the edge of the Somerset Levels. Comprising of 2 self-catering holiday cottages, Poppy Cottage (sleeps 4) and Lavender Cottage (sleeps 4), tucked away in a very peaceful location, surrounded by lovely countryside.

Within the Ox House grounds there is a play area for children, picnic benches, nest boxes and bird feeders, and stabling and paddocks for up to 4 horses. The stable block houses covered parking, a utility room with washing machine and storage for bikes, etc. A recently converted stone stable in the old farmyard which is situated next to our farmhouse, yet is private, having its own access and enclosed grounds.

Within The Old Stable grounds there is covered parking, a play area for children and open yard overlooking the duck pond and fields beyond. Also, picnic benches, bird feeders and storage for bikes, etc. We have built, furnished and equipped the cottages to a very high standard with our guests' comfort a priority.
Services
Thank you for a fantastic holiday.
We really enjoyed staying here.
We were recommended this location from friends who have previously been here on several holidays before.
Particularly enjoyed the showers!
The space was great for the children to run around in a safe environment.
We visited Puxton Park which the children enjoyed, had a wonderful time at SS Great Britain in Bristol, well worth a visit.
Noah's Ark was also a good place to take the children to.
Thank you for the map of the local area which showed the fields which you owned; this was very helpful and enabled us to have a lovely walk down to the wildlife ponds.
Brown Hares thrive on our land and are very commonly seen all year round along with squirrels, badgers, foxes, rabbits, a variety of bats and other mammals.
Otters and Roe deer are sighted.
Bird life is abundant including groups of goldfinch, greenfinch and longtailed tit, various warblers, skylark, reed bunting, wheatear, blackcap, stonechat, linnet, bullfinch, kingfisher and cuckoo.
Our apple orchard is home to woodpeckers and jays, while on the Estuary and foreshore, there are large flocks of lapwing, redshank, dunlin and curlew with oystercatchers, shelducks and little egrets.
Accommodation comprises four 12x12 stables with large covered storage area housing hay and straw.
Also mucking out equipment for your use.
We have secure tack storage rooms with saddle racks situated at the rear of the stables.
There is interior and exterior lighting throughout.
The stable block is private for the exclusive use of our guests.
We have 200 acres of level farm land for hacking, and quiet country lanes which are popular with horse riders.
Beach riding and the beautiful Mendip Hills with many bridleways are a short box away.
