We put a lot of faith into the quality of service we provide with every guest treated on an individual basis.
After all, we are all different.
Some people prefer to be greeted with a formal manner and as such wish for their service to be of a more proffessional nature, whilst others prefer a much more open approach.
In recent times we have noticed that locally we have nice restaurants that serve very good food, and we have family restaurants that serve cheap and cheerful frozen food.
We, at the Eskdale, do not believe that the two should be mutually exclusive and as such have built an atmosphere on a less conventional formal dining experience.
Home-cooked food, great drinks and a warm welcome all served up in both the cosy new look Cellar Bar, or in the more spacious Ground Floor Bar.
Our two bars are accessible to residents and non-residents alike.
Our friendly staff welcome old friends and new to relax over a drink, read the papers or maybe take in a bit of sport.
Thirsty?
Our well stocked bar includes a large choice of draught and bottled beer, real ale, a comprehensive wine list and numerous spirits.
Our helpful and friendly staff, will ensure you find the perfect tipple.
Myself and my partner stayed the night here before our flight from Manchester.
The lady was very helpful, friendly and welcoming.
Lovely old Victorian building, the room was very clean and I had the best nights sleep in a long time as the bed was so comfy.
Would definitely stay here again and I'd highly recommend.
Cycling from Southport to Penistone on the Trans Pennine Trail, Eskdale Lodge proved aconvenient comfortable and very welcoming stop-off for a tired and travel stained old cyclist.
Manger, Graz, is a very keen cyclist herself, who also happens to cook an excellent breakfast.
