Pond Cottage is an annexe of Pond House farmhouse and was once the home to two farm labourers and their families.
Always keep in mind that what you may see will depend on many variables like the weather, season, time of day, state of tide and your identification skills.
The footpath north from the farm towards St Osyth Heath provides views over agricultural land with Hartley Wood to the east and High Grove to the west.
In recent years, Common Buzzards have been regular visitors to this area and can sometimes be seen over the two woods as can the more common Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
Yellowhammers are still resident here and in winter you might see Fieldfares, Redwings and Corn Buntings whilst the attractive Yellow Wagtail is a summer visitor.
Whilst no longer rearing Turkeys at Earls Hall Farm we are able to continue supplying turkeys by collaborating with Duncan Wreathalls excellent team at Forest Lodge Farm, Ingatestone.
Their turkeys come from the same hatchery that has supplied us for many years, and their production system is very similar to ours in rearing Traditional Farm Fresh turkeys.
The birds will be delivered to us here at Earls Hall Farm oven ready, in individually packaged boxes ready for collection, so the social side at least will remain.
To find Earls Hall Farm follow the A133 into Clacton and at the St Johns Roundabout take the 4th exit, B1027 to St Osyth.
Continue on this road for 2 miles and you will see a right turn, Earls Hall Drive.
Turn into the lane and drive to the end, after passing a pink bungalow and white house turn left, between the farm buildings, and keep going, Pond House and Pond Cottage will be in front of you.
