Allow our friendly team to welcome you to Eat, Drink, Stay and Enjoy at the Mount Edgcumbe in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

We are a family-run pub with a beautiful beer garden, boutique accommodation, and a popular restaurant serving a British-European Gastro-Pub Menu. Reserve a Table in our restaurant to enjoy a meal with friends - we offer a menu that changes with the seasons and features the best local produce.
Services
A long time ago, before our doors were opened to the public, the Artic Explorer Admiral Parry is reported to have stayed here in 1839 in between his travels.
Records even show the Mount Edgcumbe (known then as Mount Edgcumbe House) on Bowra's map as early as 1738!
Our Georgian Gem is certain to inspire your inner historian as you discover our 6th century sandstone cave, and absorb the scenic views of our historic town from our flourishing leafy garden during the sunny months.
When the weather is chilly we invite guests to sink into our plush sofas in front of our roaring open log fire.
Please read our kitchen opening times and check if you are booking a table in the marquee or the inside restaurant before making a reservation.
For bookings in the clear marquee, we will have the sides of the marquee down (except on those warm days!).
Due to the wiring of the heaters and the layouts of the tables they will not be able to be moved.
Thank you for your understanding.
We always want to hear from our customers and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Please note that for larger booking enquiries (tables of 8+) we kindly request that you email; we will not be able to check availability or take event bookings over the phone, this includes any requests for the private dining space, many thanks for your co-operation.
If you are travelling from the centre of Tunbridge Wells, follow the A264 along Church road until you get to the Common, where you can either take the short walk across the Common up a small hill to our garden, or alternatively continue up Church road, turn left at Mount Ephraim road and continue for about 3mins until you reach the top of our signposted lane.
