The Howardian Hills covers 204 sq km (79 sq miles) of the North Yorkshire countryside, nestled between the Yorkshire Wolds and the Vale of York. It is a unique and captivating landscape with its well-wooded rolling countryside, patchwork of arable and pasture fields, scenic villages and historic country houses with classic parkland landscapes.

We are ideally located - 10 miles north of York, 3 miles from Castle Howard, 45 minutes drive from the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and an hour's drive from the coast - Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Bridlington, Robin Hood's Bay, Sand's End to name a few.A perfect place to base yourself while visiting the lovely area North Yorkshire has to offer, or if you wanted to just go for a walk through the woods or relax in the beautiful garden - it's up to you!

The Ebor Way & Centenary Way walks pass the house, so it is an ideal place to stop off, relax and break up your journey. The quality of the food was excellent, and the children loved that they had collected the eggs they were eating themselves.

A beautiful fully equipped kitchen which has its own pantry, a lounge/dining room with log burner for those cooler evenings enjoy sitting by the fire with a nice glass of red wine. You will have logs when you arrive, anymore after that can be purchased.

Hall Farm is located about 12 miles from York, making the historic city the perfect destination for a day out. York is quite a compact city and is easy to walk around.

read more › Get on A64 heading for York, when you have bypassed Malton look out for a sign for Welburn, Bulmer & Castle Howard. Turn right off the A64 when you see this sign and go through the village of Welburn. Head straight across the next crossroads straight through the village of Bulmer. Proceed down Bulmer Bank, then after about 1 mile turn right when you see a sign for High Stittenham. Hall Farm, is the house that meets you at the top of the lane, just pull to the right of the triangle then 1st left and you will see a guest parking area.
