Noxon Pond Cottage in the heart of the Forest of Dean has been refurbished to a high standard, providing comfortable self catering accommodation for up to 4 people. Situated metres away from a picturesque carp fishing pond, it is a stone's throw away from the Wye Valley, Clearwell Castle and other local attractions. The cottage has been restored with great attention to detail using locally sourced and recycled materials wherever possible.

In fact, the environment has been at the heart of our restoration work - the cottage benefits from air-sourced underfloor heating and is highly insulated to keep you snug even in the coldest weather. Flat screen TV, DVD player plus well stocked childrens' box for rainy days and as many books as you could possibly read in a week. Once part of a royal estate, historic Noxon Pond dates from 1301 and is well known as a local beauty spot.

Daily or weekly fishing tickets can be bought at half the normal price - the pond is well stocked with carp, bream, rudd and roach.
Services
A working dairy and sheep farm until 2001, Noxon retains its beautiful original stone buildings, some of which date back to the 17th century.
Now most of our land is rented out to neighbouring farmers and on a fine summer's evening, there is nothing more pleasant than sitting on the patio and watching sheep and cattle graze on the fields across the pond.
We believe passionately in sustainable local development and we are delighted that some of our buildings are now being used by local craftsmen - currently including a glassblower, an antique furniture restorer and a maker of tepees, all of whom will be happy to share their crafts with you.
