St Ives Bay Holiday
We are the Martin family and when we are not enjoying them ourselves, we rent out our two family holiday homes in St Ives, Cornwall. St Ives has a film set quality, the jumble of whitewashed, slate hung cottages climbing away from the fishing harbour; the white sands, palms and beach cabins of Porthminster Beach so reminiscent of the French Riviera and in complete contrast but just minutes away, the heavy surf and salt laden winds of Porthmeor Beach.

Set up camp on one of the eight gorgeous sandy beaches, go fishing or hiking along the wild coast or take a boat trip to see the seals and (if you are lucky) a pod of dolphins.
Services
A large detached holiday house with panoramic views of St Ives Bay, a short walk from St Ives, available to rent all year round.
Birdsong is a large, modern, detached house with panoramic views over St Ives Bay and the north Cornwall coast beyond.
Perched on the cliffs above St Ives bay, in its own large well maintained landscaped gardens, in amongst the majestic Monterey Pines, this reverse level open plan accommodation, is the ideal base to enjoy your stay here in West Cornwall.
Birdsong, on the outskirts of St Ives, is a superb base for a relaxing and care free holiday, spent at your own pace.
Admiral Cottage is situated in the heart of St Ives, Cornwall with its blue flag beaches, artists community and wonderful food.
This bright pretty cottage has wonderful sea views and is fully equipped for families of up to 6 with open plan dining and living space, attic studio, large bathroom, 2 downstairs bedrooms and cloakroom.
There is also a utility room and a small garden (a rarity in central St Ives).
The cottage is bright and airy, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets.
The location is everything and you cannot take your eyes off that view, even the kitchen faces it!
Well equipped, comfortable, warm with a lovely little garden.
Although a fair trek out of town (one member of the party thought the homeward hill got longer everyday!), the size and layout of the house meant that there was plenty of room for everyone.
The easy parking was very handy too, as it meant we could go out and not worry about where to park on our return.
Admiral cottage is absolutely charming, extremely well equipped and ideally located only seconds from the wonderful shops and restaurants in St Ives.
One of our favourite family walks is the coastal walk from St Ives to Zennor or Zennor to St Ives.
Depending on where you start, you either catch the open top bus to Zennor and walk back, or walk there and catch the open top bus back.
The walk is around 6 miles long (though it feels longer!) and tracks the coastal headlands, offering incredible views of the Cornish coast.
It's a challenging hike but definitely worth it (especially if you finish at Zennor and celebrate with a well earned pint in the Tinners Arms).
We bought Admiral Cottage in 1990 and Birdsong in 2001 and have spent the last 30 odd years renovating them and making them into family holiday homes.
We love these houses and we love St Ives and we hope that we get to share these beautiful homes with you.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch, we are always happy to chat and will help with your holiday to St Ives in any way that we can (we have a wealth of knowledge about St Ives and the local area and plenty of ideas of what to do and how to have great holidays in the area (/keep 4 children entertained year on year!)).
