Just a few minutes walk will take you down into the picturesque 14th Century fishing village of Mevagissey where you can while away hours and hours especially if you are blessed with good weather.
The old centre has very narrow streets with an array of independent shops, art galleries, potteries, and an excellent selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants catering for every taste.
The museum is a fascinating treasure, showing how the village once looked when the Pilchard industry was booming.
The Model Railway exhibition is very impressive and not forgetting the Aquarium which displays locally caught fish and is in the old lifeboat house.
Building From family friendly beaches such as Porthcurno, through to a Fistral Beach a surfers paradise where surgers visit from all over the world.
Castles in the sand, searching for sea shells, hunting for crabs in the rock-pools of a sheltered cove, or just wanting to dip your toe in turquoise waters, it's easy to see why visitors return to Cornwall year after year.
The world renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a short distance from our beautiful location, in fact you can see Heligan House from on our patio!
The gardens were lost for many years under mountains of ivy, bramble and laurel.
Heligan is the largest European garden restoration project ever attempted.
They comprise eighty acres of pleasure grounds plus a complex of walled gardens and a huge vegetable garden.
There is a plant collection, a range of exotic glasshouses, and various buildings and landscaping that reflect the interests of the family in the past.
