Located just to the south of the picturesque village of Brae, Valleyfield Guest House is in an ideal location for companies servicing the oil and gas terminals at Sullom Voe, the Viking Energy Windfarm, and also for visitors touring Shetland, particularly the north end. Our accommodation portfolio consists of a 12 en-suite bedroom guest house, three two bedroom chalets.

We also have a number of three, four and five bedroom houses in the village of Brae. Experience true comfort in our homely, 12-bedroomed Guest House in Brae, Shetland. With fast WiFi, spacious common areas and complimentary continental breakfasts you will always feel at home at the Valleyfield Guest House. Within a stones throw from the Guest House, our chalets offer you the comfort of your own, private living space and kitchen. Set-up base with us as you explore the wonders of Shetland. For your longer term accommodation needs we also have a number of 4 properties in the village of Brae, ideal for growing families or professionals who may be working at the new Windfarm project or at the Sullom Voe Terminal & Gas Plant.

Valleyfield Guesthouse was built in the late 1970's with 3 guest bedrooms with a purpose to serve the impeding oil boom that was to come to Shetland and the North Sea.
The oil boom camee and with that an extension wwas built with 9 additional ensuite bedrooms joining the initial trio.
With an intention to offer more value to our guests, we added a commercial kitchen and large dining room to accommodate our visitors, most of whom were servicing the requirements of the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal.
As our Guest House enters its half century of operations, the same family continue to own and run the Guest House, welcoming tourists, holidaymakers and of course, those making their living within the oil and gas sector in Shetland.
Valleyfield Guest House comprises of 12 comfortable ensuite bedrooms - half of which are double and the other half are singles.
With WiFi provided throughout the guest house, each room also as Freeview & Sky Television (linked from our shared living room).
We provide continental breakfasts as part of your stay and meals can be provided.
You can also take advantage of our cafe which serves freshly prepared meals, cakes and Barista-style coffee.
From our Guesthouse, you can explore the rest of Brae and Shetland, too - staff will be on-hand to give you any information or directions you may need.
The sister company to Valleyfield Enterprises Ltd, Toog Properties Ltd has a number of houses available to rent within Brae, Shetland and also in Aberdeen.
These are available for longer term rent and are ideal accommodation for those that might be operating at Sullom Voe Oil Terminal, the Shetland Gas Plant or the Viking Energy Windfarm project.
Alternatively, the property can be ideal for growing families.
We currently have 1 five-bedroom, 2 four-bedroom and 1 three-bedroom properties in the village.
Located in Brae, our Guest House is perfectly placed to make your Shetland experience truly one-of-a-kind.
Take the unbeaten path of Shetland's North easily with beautiful rural walks, lochs and locations to take in.
Within the village of Brae itself, we have Frankie's Fish & Chips which has won an abundance of national awards over the years for its freshness and quality, a leisure centre, supermarket and a number of bars for your evening refreshments.
As mentioned, our location in Brae gives you an excellent opportunity to take in Shetland differently than staying anywhere else.
Shetland has a lot to offer those that visit Shetland, we welcome thousands upon thousands of holidaymakers and tourists every year - not forgetting those who make their living in key industries such as oil & gas and they are always blown away by how much there is to see and do as they visit.
From our Guest House in Brae, the accessibility to the north is a dream - however, it away from Brae and beyond, there is a world still to see on our remote islands.
On the flipside of Shetland, a road trip to the South of Shetland's Sumburgh Head means you could see the famous Puffins who call Shetland their home from April to August.
