The Holly Bush stands as one of the oldest pubs in the country, with origins dating back to the 17th century. Nestled within the Bartington Green Conservation areathe smallest such zone in the Vale Royal Boroughour Grade II listed pub and barns were once part of a working farm. Since 1993, we have operated as a privately owned public house, recently undergoing refurbishment to restore our traditional thatch roof, expand our restaurant, and convert the barns into 14 en-suite non-smoking bedrooms with complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi. Our commitment to preserving historical charm while offering modern comforts has made us a cherished destination for locals and visitors alike.We pride ourselves on sourcing ingredients from local suppliers, including Hormbreys for meats and Barnton Farm for produce, ensuring our meals reflect the regions quality and tradition. Our pub boasts an extensive selection of beers, including Tetley cask, guest ales, and lagers, complemented by a welcoming beer garden and family-friendly amenities. Despite our recent decision to cease trading, we remain dedicated to facilitating the sale of the business as a going concern, ensuring its legacy endures for future generations to enjoy.
