Saplinbrae House Hotel
All of our bedrooms have old-fashioned character that is rooted in the traditions of the area - original cornices, quirks, nooks and crannies. We have complemented each with local art, antique prints and touches of tweed from our local mill. Our self-catering lodges come in a variety of formats, ideal for those travelling in groups of all sizes. From chalets, to Willow Lodge and the Old Shooting Lodge, we have luxury accommodation to suit your every need.

Create your perfect getaway with our curated experiences. Whether it's a catch-up with friends or family, a team-building excursion or a romantic escape; let us be your guide to the best the North East has to offer. Food lovingly created. Our head chef and talented team put as much love, care and attention into a pan of soup or a quiche as they do into cooking the perfect steak.

Being farmers and having a strong agricultural connection, we deem provenance to be of the highest importance. Here at Saplinbrae we believe in celebrating and welcome enquiries for business, birthdays, baby showers and everything in between!
Services
Saplinbrae was built in 1756, and was originally a coaching inn, before becoming a rectory, a country house and, finally, a hotel in the 20th century.
It all started at a kitchen table on our family farm, strewn with paperwork, tea and toast, and our wee boy's toys.
We knew when we bought Saplinbrae that we wanted to capture the essence of that table, and the stories it could tell of family and friends together, enjoying good food, good wine and good times, and everyone retiring, fuzzy with happiness, to a cosy bed at the end of the night.
Our head chef and talented team put as much love, care and attention into a pan of soup or a quiche as they do into cooking the perfect steak.
Saplinbrae is a place for guests and locals alike to enjoy beautiful, honest food, unhushed and unhurried, in the eye of the Buchan countryside.
We believe in all day dining, and welcome guests for morning coffee and scones, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
You can pop in past at any time - treats like a millionaire's shortbread or a warming bowl of soup which are available all day, every day too.
Set in 10 acres of the Buchan countryside we offer a wide variety of activities for either corporate events or just a get together with friends.
If you wish to discuss the different packages we offer please contact us at frontdesk@saplinbrae.co.uk for further information.
