Services
Our Ancestral Barn infuses charm and character with beamed ceilings and panelled walls.
This luxury barn is filled with antiques, polished floors and richly coloured rugs.
The lounge has a glorious open range fireplace and antique furniture.
Three bedrooms (one accessible for the mobile disabled downstairs) feature splendid canopy beds with pocket sprung mattresses and Egyptian cotton bedding are the very essence of comfort and luxury.
All bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms, two with showers, and the master bedroom has a roll top bath.
Our pretty Church Farm Cottage originally formed part of the main farmhouse which is Grade II listed, dating from around the 16th century.
It is full of character with stone flagged floors, beamed ceilings and stone fireplaces.
The lounge has a lovely old black range for those cosy open fires and polished wooden floors are covered with richly coloured rugs, all adding to the charm of this traditional English country cottage.
Two bedrooms, the master with a wonderful canopy bed and the twin with spacious 3'6 single beds are a delight and boast wonderful open views across the surrounding countryside.
Church Farm has been a farm as far as we know since the 16th century and has been in our family for over half a century.
We have evidence of the occupation on the site of Church Farm in much earlier times with Stanshope being mentioned in the Doomsday Book.
It has always been farmed traditionally in the old-fashioned way and was converted to be fully organic in 1997.
Our family's farming philosophy has been to protect and preserve the environment and the animals and wildlife on the farm for the future generations who should be lucky enough to live here.
The wonderful landscape of Dovedale and the Peak District National Park is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and lovers of other outdoor activities.
Beautiful walks start from the doorstep of the cottages and you can't find a better place to relax, unwind and explore it.
At the end of the day you have a lovely cottage to come back to and that cosy open fire to laze in front of.
If you can drag yourself away, our local pub is just a short stroll.
Cycling and mountain biking are very popular due to the miles of cycle routes along the country lands and former railway lines.
We feel it is a real privilege to be living in such a wonderful environment and wish to protect and share it with our visitors.
Church Farm actively supports good environmental practices in the Peak District National Park.
We believe that we have a duty of care for the environment and to this end we converted our farm to Organic in 1997.
We give a high level of care to our animals both domestic and on the farm and work hard to conserve our land, its wild flowers and herbs and our dry stone walls.
