Multi award winning family run hotel, situated in the peaceful village of Grange-over-Sands in the Cartmel Peninsula. A hotel for all seasons- from early spring daffodils, through to the riot of summer, autumn's golden hues and cosy log fires on chilly winter days. Open to non-residents throughout the day, starting with brunch and morning coffee, heading into light lunch, indulging in afternoon tea or for those who can wait, dinner.

There's a menu and a time to suit everyone. Two stars, Gold award & Breakfast award. Possibly the only two red star hotel in England. The AA identifies the highest performing hotels in Britain and Ireland as AA Inspectors' Choice, denoted by the Red Stars. This is the AA's supreme accolade, used to recognise hotels that stand out as the very best, regardless of size or style.

A full English breakfast is the ideal way to start your days spent enjoying some of the many walks and pastimes to be found in Grange-over-Sands or further afield, returning in the evening to a superb dinner chosen from a menu of traditional and speciality dishes.
We are proud of our meals and would like you to enjoy them at their best.
Brunch and light lunches are served from 9.00am and dinner between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
In between afternoon teas are available and we cater for parties and offer special menus for the festive season.
Smoked haddock, spring onion risotto, Parmesan cheese, soft poached egg.
Smashed avocado, bacon, two poached eggs, toast.
Pasta all puttanesca, rich tomato sauce with capers, olives & oregano, Parmesan cheese.
Chicken liver parfait with Madeira, scrumpy reduction, toasted sourdough, dressed salad.
American pancakes, banana & fresh berries, Greek yogurt, maple syrup.
Loaded fries, bacon, cheese, chives, spring onion & mayo or Cajun spices, sour cream, spring onions.
Bacon or Sausage roll, homemade roll.
Baked sweet potato, grilled mushroom, fried egg, goats cheese, wilted spinach.
Grilled sea bream, peas, sauteed new potatoes, seared asparagus, wild mushrooms and asparagus veloute.
Roast ribeye of beef, triple cooked chips, grilled mushroom, spinach puree, bernaise butter, Madeira sauce.
Baked ginger parkin, apple compote, spiced syrup, stem ginger ice cream, fresh custard.
English Lakes Ice creams served in a bowl, brandy snap or tuile basket.
Double Jersey, Real fruit Strawberry, Mint choc chip, Thunder & Lightning (chocolate & cinder toffee) Death by chocolate.
All the bedrooms have private facilities and most enjoy a view over the bay.
The rooms are centrally heated, have tea/coffee making facilities, 26 LCD TV and direct dial telephones.
Some have balconies, including 2 twin bedded ground floor rooms.
We have superior (larger) rooms, namely, 2 single first floor and 1 twin first floor, all with sea views, and one twin first floor on the side of the house, not having sea view.
The mile long Promenade is at the bottom of the garden and has bowling greens, tennis courts and a putting green as well as providing easy access to the Ornamental Gardens, the award winning Victorian train station and the town centre.
There are two golf courses in Grange-over-Sands.
Music and drama activities take place at Victoria Hall which is about a quarter of a mile from us.
Adjoining us is a small park with bandstand, brass band concerts taking place on Sundays throughout the summer.
We are ideally situated to explore the Lake District, renowned for its many beautiful walks and stunning scenery.
