Eastacott Barton Self Catering
Sitting at the head of its own private valley, Eastacott Barton's two barn conversions (Stable and Harebell) offer spacious self catering holiday accommodation, privacy and a real opportunity to relax. Surrounded by rich Devon farmland full of sheep and cattle and overlooking the Taw valley, there are 27 acres of meadow and woodland walks, and numerous lakes, including a swimming lake and two fishing lakes which are solely for the use of guests.

Within easy reach of the coast, and both Exmoor and Dartmoor it's the perfect base to explore the delights of North Devon. With fantastic surfing beaches, walks along coastal paths or across the moors, fishing in the lake or the local salmon rivers, cycling on the Tarka Trail, excellent golf courses, and great local pubs all close at hand, there are plenty of activities for everyone.

We have two barn conversions, Stable and Harebell. Each has 3 double ensuite bedrooms. The larger barn (Stable) has been converted to comfortably accommodate 12 people in the sitting and dining areas, allowing one group to stay in both properties.
Services
The heart of Stable is the huge sitting room (39' x 20') which used to be the original threshing barn and still retains its full height, showing all the beams as well as some of the old threshing machinery.
However, Stable has all the modern comforts too with a 50 TV with surround sound, a DVD player and access to streaming channels such as Netflix and iPlayer (some require your own subscription).
With a underfloor heated flagstone floor and a wood burning stove, the room is beautifully warm in winter, whereas in summer the full width bi-fold doors are often left open to incorporate the view over the lake and down the valley to the river Taw.
Dogs are very welcome at Eastacott Barton, but we do have some rules to ensure that everyone (both dogs and guests) get along fine during your holiday, and that we keep the accommodation in 5 star condition.
We allow a maximum of 2 dogs (over the age of 1) in Stable and Harebell (4 dogs in total if you take both cottages) and there is no extra charge for bringing your dogs.
There are 27 acres of meadow, lakes and woodland here at Eastacott Barton, and no livestock, so dogs are welcome to explore all the grounds.
