Nestled between the Silver Sand beaches and Loch Morar, The Morar Hotel is an idyllic 3 star hotel boasting over 100 years of heritage of a traditional Highland hotel. Being only 2 miles from Mallaig, the Southern Gateway to the Isle of Skye and 45 minutes from Fort William, it is your ideal destination for family and solo holidays.

Built in 1902, originally as the Station hotel, it still retains much of the charm it had when it first opened as well as its own railway station though which "the Hogwarts Express" passes through on it's journey traversing the Glenfinnan viaduct featured in the Harry Potter movies!The Morar Hotel features breathtaking views of the famous Silver Sands of Morar and the Inner Hebridean islands of Rum & Eigg.

Our Superior Rooms offering a selection of Family, Double and Twin situated in the older Edwardian wing of our hotel, thus having thicker walls and more spacious rooms inviting you to sink into a blissfully comfortable night's rest after a hard day of holidaying!

Morar Bar has played host to some lively happenings in its 100+ year history including army personnel discussing their SOE training during WWII.
The warm, cozy surroundings and the laid-back ambience are ideal for an evening of catching up with friends over drinks, don't be surprised to find the odd Highland local thrown in, spinning a wee tale or a long yarn.
Open from 6pm - 11pm, you can drop by our bar between sightseeing and walks, to quench your thirst with a chilled beer or beverage and munch on snacks and bites to tide you over till dinner is served.
