Questions
What makes Carmichael meats different from supermarket products?
Our single-estate meats come from animals born, reared, and processed entirely on our farm. The on-site abattoir minimises stress, ensuring superior quality compared to industrially produced meats with uncertain origins.
Can I visit the estate without booking accommodation?
Yes, our visitor centre, farm shop, and wax model collection are open Wednesday-Sunday 10am-5pm. Self-guided walks and cycling routes are accessible during daylight hours without prior booking.
Do you deliver meats outside Scotland?
We deliver across the UK via overnight courier in thermal boxes. International deliveries aren't possible due to meat import restrictions in most countries outside the UK.
What Clan Carmichael membership benefits exist?
Members receive genealogical records, tartan access, special products, and invitations to biennial Clan Gatherings. Membership fees support global clan development and heritage preservation at our Lanarkshire estate.
Are pets allowed in holiday cottages?
Some cottages accept pets with prior arrangement. Please check specific property details during booking or contact our estate office at 01899 308336 for pet-friendly accommodation options.
