Deanfield Bed & Breakfast
A warm welcome awaits you at this Visit England, award winning, 4 star, Guest Accommodation, set in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean. We are so pleased to have been awarded Trip Advisors Travellers Choice Award. Trip Advisor give these awards to accommodation providers who consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Trip Advisor.

Originally the house was home to the village quarry-master, but now Deanfield has been providing holiday and business accommodation since 1990. The house is perfectly situated, surrounded by cycle and walking trails and the Nagshead RSPB Nature Reserve, our reviews say we are a perfect base for cycling and walking holidays. Just 3 properties away is The Woodman Pub and a short walk the other side of the cricket green is The Fountain Inn, both have restaurants and we recommend both highly for food & drink.

Once the hunting ground of Kings from the Normans onwards, the Royal Forest of Dean possesses a character, history and culture all of its own.

We could not fault this place one little bit, we found the owners to be very welcoming lovely people, the guest house is ideally situated.
Beautifully decorated and well looked after.
Every little thing has been thought about from crisp clean bed linen and thick fluffy towels to thick toilet roll and air fresheners, shaving plug etc etc. the bed was super comfy.
Chris is very warm and welcoming, she made us feel more like friends than tourists.
The house is everything you'd want, a beautifully decorated house in the middle of the Forest of Dean.
Here in the Royal Forest of Dean we are fortunate to share our woodlands with the mysterious and intriguing Wild Boar.
Wild Boar were considered extinct in Britain after the medieval period where boars were hunted for the King's table in 1254.
In the local town of Ross on Wye, boar were kept on a farm in 1999 but are thought to have escaped.
As a result, populations have spread and soared, making them a likely sighting on your evening walk through our woodlands surrounding Parkend.
Boars are habitually secretive, usually nocturnal and very unlikely to pose a threat to walkers or cyclists, although it should be noted that boars can be protective if with their young.
We are very fortunate here in Parkend, we are a highly sort after location for bird sightings.
Here are some of the birds you may encounter in our area when walking or cycling.
The fabulous Gloster Birder website is an updated webpage of recent sightings in Gloucestershire, available for anyone to have a browse.
We take great pride in replenishing our bird feeding stations around Deanfield grounds and garden at which many of these birds are seen in close proximity.
