Moorview Cottage is a granite built converted barn in a peaceful hamlet at the foot of White Tor on the western edge of Dartmoor. Moorview offers spacious and comfortable self catering holiday accommodation, there are three bedrooms, a king size bedroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, although there are six bed spaces to allow for flexible sleeping arrangements, we accept a maximum of 5 guests only.

The holiday cottage is open all year round and guests receive a warm welcome with a traditional Devon cream tea, cake or biscuits on arrival. If you are looking for an active holiday you can walk directly onto the moors from Moorview Cottage and explore miles of beautiful moorland with Boulters Tor, White Tor and Stephen's Grave nearby.

Locally there are some lovely riverside walks to enjoy. Horse riding and fishing are available close by.

Moorview Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage situated on a quiet Dartmoor lane.
On the ground floor, there is a king size bedroom, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and WC with shower with heated towel rail.
On the first floor is a well equipped kitchen, dining area and spacious lounge with views over the surrounding countryside.
A bathroom with WC, bath with shower over and a heated towel rail is also on the first floor.
There is off road parking for a family size car.
From the car, walk up a slight incline on gravel path to the front door of the cottage.
During the summer months, from dawn to dusk, an abundance of birds visit Moorview, these include Woodpeckers, Treecreepers, Fly-Catchers, Nuthatches, Thrushes, Jays, as well as the more familiar birds such as Tits and Finches.
Cuckoos are often heard, although rarely seen.
The open moorland is a good place to spot Pheasants, Kestrels, Buzzards, Owls, Foxes, Deer and Badgers.
At nearby Hillbridge there is a good chance of seeing Dippers and Kingfishers and the leat is full of small Brown Trout.
If you are really lucky you may see a Cuckoo or a Ring Ouzel up on the moor.

Deduct 20% (price is shown in column three of the pricing table above) when the cottage is occupied by only one or two people throughout the whole period booked.
Deduct 5% for a repeat booking within 24 months of an earlier stay and please state dates of the previous visit.
Short breaks are available in low season only.
Your break can start on any day of the week, subject to availability.
The minimum charge for any short break is 225 for up to 3 nights.
