College Farm is an arable farm set in the peaceful Suffolk countryside, surrounded by acres of woodland and countryside, abundant in birds and wildlife and close to the coast. It is just 6 miles west of Ipswich on the A1071 to Hadleigh. The Grade II Listed farmhouse is a 500-year-old beamed Tudor building which was once owned by Cardinal Wolsey in King Henry VIII's time.

It has been carefully modernised over the years, but still retains its character with oak beams, inglenook fireplaces, sloping floors and low doorways. College Farmhouse stands in a large garden and is surrounded by fields and meadows in a quiet part of the 150 acre arable farm. There are marked footpaths throughout the farm where you can see animals, such as deer, rabbits, pheasants and occasionally badgers.

Guests can enjoy the scenery or play golf, go fishing or horse riding, all of which are close by. We are set in an ideal position to visit the County town of Ipswich, "Constable Country", or the pretty villages and market towns in the area including Hadleigh, Lavenham, Kersey and Sudbury.

We had an very enjoyable stay at College Farm.
We stayed for three nights and were located in the converted stable.
It was more like an apartment than a room.
We could not ask for a nicer place to stay.
It was very clean, comfortable, and private.
There were areas to walk, it was an excellent location in the countryside not far from Ipswich town.
Our hosts were absolutely fantastic.
They could not have been more kind and helpful.
The breakfasts were wonderful (and so was the homemade marmalade).
