Dolffanog Fawr
Dolffanog Fawr is an 18th Century farmhouse that has recently been thoroughly renovated and converted into one of the finest small luxury bed and breakfast guest houses in Snowdonia. The house is situated in the heart of the stunning Tal-y-llyn valley. We (Alex, Lorraine and our sports mad son Morgan) pride ourselves on creating the perfect bed and breakfast accommodation and an exceptionally high standard of comfort and cleanliness.

All 4 ensuite rooms at the guest home, named after local rivers, are simple yet stylish, neutrally decorated with woollen carpets, local artwork & Melin Tregwynt throws. Large beds with top of the range pocket sprung matresses & crisp Egyptian cotton together with clean Welsh mountain air make for a sound nights' sleep. In the 18 years we've been in Snowdonia, Dolffanog Fawr has gained a 5 Star rating and the prestigious Gold Award from Visit Wales.

The Guest House has also received the Trip Advisor Centre of Excellence Award every year it's been awarded. We are particularly proud of this as, unlike many places, we never chase reviews.

Dolffanog Fawr is set amongst lawned gardens and a variety of shrubs and trees, guaranteeing colour whenever you visit.
The birdfeeders dotted around the garden attract a wide variety of birds at different times of the year, including Nuthatch, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Siskin.
Red kites, Buzzards and Peregrine Falcons are also seen from time to time, along with visits from the odd Heron and escapee lamb.
An evening sitting in the hot tub listening to the calling owls and gazing at the stars should not be missed.
Please note, following several recent incidents, we do not allow dogs to be left unattended in bedrooms unless shut in a pet crate.
During meal times they should be left in the car.

This part of southern Snowdonia is famed for its mountains, scenery and long sandy beaches.
There are castles, historic houses, gardens, museums and craft shops.
You can watch red kites and other wildlife including otters and dolphins or play golf and go white water rafting.
There's also pony trekking and narrow gauge steam railways.
There are too many things to list individually but rest assured there are no shortage of things to do.
Dolffanog Fawr is situated right in the middle of some of the best mountain biking in Europe.
There are four centres nearby; Coed y Brenin, Machynlleth, Nant yr Arian and Antur Stiniog.
The first and arguably still the best mountain bike centre in the UK.
The ever increasing network of trails offers something for everybody from the green and blue graded Yr Afon and Minotaur trails (the most popular trail in Europe) up to the fearsome Tarw and Beast trails.
The purpose built visitor centre offers hot drinks, snacks, main meals, bike hire and a fully equipped shop.
