We are a small friendly run Licensed Guesthouse offering 3 Star Bed & Breakfast accommodation in Dumfries. We are situated in a quiet residentail area near Dumfries Railway station, five minutes walk from Dumfries town centre. We are pet friendly. We offer free Wi Fi. Our accommodation consists of ten tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with en-suite or private facilities.

The Aberdour Licensed Guesthouse is owned by Amanda McQueen.
Based in the town of Dumfries in the beautiful South West of Scotland, it is a thriving, welcoming hotel with a level of service which brings customers back year after year.
We cater to a wide range of customers throughout the year, from all over the world, but whether you're here to holiday in Dumfries, close that important business deal, or just enjoy a few days golfing or Cycling/ Mountain Biking, you'll be assured of a great stay.
Featuring all the comforts expected by todays guests, the Aberdour Licensed Guesthouse bedrooms provide a peaceful retreat for both the business and holiday traveller.
Most rooms are ensuite and all have colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board.
We can also provide hairdryers and other facilities on request.
Many of our customers visit the Aberdour purely for the excellent food - the stylish surroundings of our Dining Rooms together with the eclectic choice of fresh local produce are a winning combination.
Our varied and excellent choice of locally produced ingredients - including Galloway Beef, Solway Salmon and many others - makes our menus very special indeed.
As well as our set menu, we do many special meals, including a Sunday Lunch, and Pensioners Specials priced at 5.75.
Vegetarian choices are also available.

This is where Andrew Coltart honed his skills; where James Braid and Mackenzie Ross designed some of their finest courses; where stunning scenery and excellent courses make for a fantastic golfing break.
With 32 courses to choose from in the region, you'll find yourself spoilt for choice, whether you are wanting to work on your technique on a professional course, or just play a little relaxing holiday golf.
Many of our clients visit the region for golfing breaks, and over the years we have upgraded the facilities to be able to cater for them.

Within walking distance of the Aberdour, there are plenty of things to keep you busy.
Dumfries town boasts a swimming pool with a sauna and steam rooms, an ice rink, two cinemas, museums, art galleries, shops, and countless other visitor attractions.
Outwith the town, there are many more attractions to fill your holiday.
Miles of unspoilt beaches are available along the Solway Coast at Southerness and Sandyhills; some of the finest historic buildings in the country are here (Drumlanrig Castle, for example, which includes traditional workshops, bike hire, a vast estate to explore and an adventure playground); fishing breaks are available, and many others besides!
