Welcome to Carnwethers Country House, here on the wonderful island of St. Mary's on the Isles of Scilly, run by Rachel and Jeff Knowles. All the cottages are set within a large, delightful and well stocked shared garden (but also with your own private areas). They all enjoy shared access to a fabulous solar-heated salt chlorinated swimming pool, library, games room, croquet lawn and barbecue.
We also offer delightful B&B accommodation within Carnwethers Country House which is perfect if you'd like to kick back and have your breakfast brought to you every morning. The bedrooms are large - offering super king size double beds (or twins) with enough space for an additional "put-up" bed if necessary.
Carnwethers Cottages and B&B are located "upcountry" on St. Mary's (find us here) a 1.5 mile stroll to Hugh Town and the Quay (for the daily boats to the "off" islands) through lovely scenic countryside and via Holy Vale Vineyard, or 2.5 miles by road.Once the farmhouse for Pelistry Farm, you'll find us in a very quiet spot surrounded by wild fields, just a five-minute stroll to the most stunning and secluded beach at Pelistry Bay (one of Scilly's best) and our wonderful coastal path.

Rachel's Aga cooked Cornish breakfasts are served 7 days a week between 8 30 and 9am (and by arrangement outside of these times) - with a wide choice of Scillonian and Cornish produce on the menu - from continental options to full Cornish!

From April through to October, a community bus operates six days a week on St Mary's providing a circular route around the island.
Adult fares are 2 a ride (subject to change) and there is a bus stop about 2-3 minutes' walk from us.
You will find bus times in your cottage; alternatively the Tourist Information Centre will be able to help you.

Deposits are non refundable.
Regrettably, in the event of a cancellation within 8 weeks of the booking (i.e. after full payment has been received) the full cost will be charged unless the accommodation can be re-let.
For this reason, we strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance.
