Chideock Cottage is a charming, 19th century cottage which has all the modern conveniences you'd expect in a holiday cottage these days. It sleeps up to 3, is available all-year-round and is located in the chocolate-box, bustling village of Chideock with 3 excellent pubs and a shop. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay really relaxing and enjoyable including comfortable sofas, quality kitchen equipment, excellent wifi connectivity, bluetooth technology and smart TV.

The cottage is situated along a quiet lane and is the second of a terrace of four cottages, all with sunny south-facing gardens with lovely views. Step straight out of the front door of Chideock Cottage and you are in the garden. With numerous coastal walks on the doorstep, peaceful surroundings and an excellent pub just over the road, Chideock Cottage is the ideal place for a relaxing break.

The picturesque beach at Seatown is just a 20 minute walk away and the cottage is only 3 miles from the historic town of Bridport and just 6 miles from the bustling seaside town of Lyme Regis.

Solid oak flooring extends throughout the ground floor into the kitchen and French doors open out to the spacious, landscaped garden giving superb views of the rolling hills towards the sea.
The self catering cottage has an AGA which is great for cooking and keeps the cottage lovely and cosy in the Winter months.
Alternative cooking appliances are available.
Don't be afraid of the AGA.
It is very simple to use and is often easier and quicker to use than a conventional oven.
In the village of Chideock, you'll find us down a little lane off the main road, opposite The George Inn.
The little lane is a turning left if coming from Bridport direction or a right turn if coming from Lyme Regis direction.
Chideock Cottage is the second of four 19th century cottages which, many years ago, used to be the homes of local farmworkers.
The garden at Chideock Cottage is south facing and has stunning views of the rolling hills towards the sea.
It has a lawned area with an apple and fig tree near the bottom.
Alfresco dining is very accessible at Chideock Cottage.
There is a large patio area at the top of the garden, just in front of the house, with table and cushioned chairs, an umbrella, rattan chairs with coffee table, BBQ and lighting.
We are very lucky to be situated in one of the most beautiful areas within the UK on the world heritage Jurassic coastline.

Chideock is a delightful village, 3 miles west of Bridport, with pretty thatched cottages, three traditional pubs, a shop and a two churches.
The village has narrow country lanes leading to the beach at Seatown where the coastal path takes you to Golden Cap, the highest point on the Jurassic Coast.
The newly refurbished Anchor Inn at Seatown serves fantastic food and drinks throughout the day and is the perfect lunchtime spot.
Below are just a few suggestions and recommendations for things to do while you are in the area.
Just a short walk down the bridle-way to Seatown you'll find a fossilising paradise.
Head West along the beach towards Golden Cap, keeping away from the cliffs as findings here will be full of clay so stay along the low water mark and lkeep your eyes peeled for belemnites and ammonites.
If unsuccessful, take a guided tour with Chris Pamplin or visit the Charmouth and the Heritage Coast Centre to see their amazing fossil collections and find out how to discover your own fossils on the beach.
