Three Shires Inn We are now open for drinks and meals both inside and outside and our hotels rooms can once again welcome guests. Our Lake District hotel has beautiful views of Wetherlam and the Tilberthwaite Fells. All our rooms are finished to a high standard and offer en-suite accommodation with digital TV, tea making facilities, and radio alarm clocks. Lunch is served daily between 12 noon and 14:30pm.

On a fine day our delightful garden is the ideal place to eat, drink and relax whilst enjoying the views over the Tilberthwaite Fells. We are the perfect resting points for fine ales or afternoon tea on many circular low level walks in the Langdales, Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge areas. The Three Shires is a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

We now have two fabulous suites which are ideal for a honeymoon, anniversary or simply an extra special treat. Our beautifully furnished suite has views across fell pasture and the neighbouring farm towards Great Intake and the Tilberthwaite fells beyond. It includes its own separate lounge area and ensuite bathroom with bath and separate large walk in shower. Lingmoor Fell is a beautifully furnished luxury suite, perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary or an extra special treat.

read more › From the north: From Keswick or Penrith via the A66 follow signs towards Windermere on A591. On reaching Ambleside follow the directions below. From Ambleside take the A593 towards Langdale / Coniston. Travel for approximately 3 miles to Skelwith Bridge. Do not take the first right turn which is signed to Langdale, but carry on over the Skelwith bridge towards Coniston and take the next right in about mile. This will be signed The Langdales, Wrynose Pass and Elterwater. Drop down a tight bend and follow the road to the next junction.
