A very warm Exmoor welcome awaits you at Myrtle Cottage, Porlock, a comfortable thatched cottage built over 400 years ago which is bursting with character and charm. Ideally situated in this beautiful part of the country within Exmoor National Park, a short stroll from the sea and surrounded by stunning scenery - the beauty of the landscape dees description.

If you're looking for a relaxing break, there are plenty of beautiful and interesting places to visit in and around Porlock village. An excellent regular bus service to Minehead, Porlock Weir, and in the summer, to Lynmouth runs past the front door. Myrtle Cottage welcomes children, walkers and cyclists - we are also dog friendly. Take time out to unwind in front of our blazing log re or enjoy our peaceful patio garden in the warmer months.

We are open all year round, have free o-road parking, secure cycle storage and drying facility. There is a good choice of pubs, restaurants and tea shops to suit all tastes within an easy 2 minute walk from the front door.

Myrtle Cottage is an early seventeenth century thatched cottage that has low ceilings and uneven floors and stairs in places.

Eight steep curving steps.
Family suite consisting of 2 interconnecting rooms separated by a heavy curtain and 2 steps up.
First room contains a Double bed and seating area ensuite shower and w.c.
We need to know if you have any disabilities that may affect your ability to evacuate the premises in the event of an emergency.
If you do have a disability it is your responsibility to let us know in order that we can discuss and prepare a Personalised Emergency Evacuation Plan for you.
We may be able to hold a room for you for 24 hours after initial enquiry to enable you to finalise your holiday plans.
The booking remains unconfirmed until we advise confirmation by email or post.
Direct bookings do not incur a penalty if cancellation is advised by phone or email up to 4pm 7 days before your planned stay.
Cancellations made after this time will incur a cancellation charge of 100% of the cost of the first night of your booking - we will endeavour to re-let the room, but we reserve the right to make a charge should we be unsuccessful.
