Windrush is set in an enviable hilltop location within 4 acres and is surrounded by panoramic views. Our four star secluded detached former farm steading has been tastefully converted to form a uniquely traditional yet modern dwelling sleeping up to 5 plus infant with all the conveniences you would expect from a quality self-catering holiday cottage.

A perfect tranquil retreat from the hub of city life both families and couples will relish their time spent at Windrush knowing they have the best of both worlds with a great central base close to many towns and cities in this beautiful part of Scotland. Say hello to the neighbouring lambs and Highland cattle, and perhaps be lucky to spy some deer and pheasants in the garden too.

Uninterupted views across rolling countryside. Lovely self contained garden with patio area with access to field to play ball games or practise your golf swing. Lovely country walks and cycle routes close by along with country pusuits like shooting, horse-riding, water sports and off road driving.

Windrush Holiday Cottage dates from 1880 originating as a farm steading grain store barn.
Traditionally stone built with pan-tiled roof exterior whilst inside the style is somewhat modern whilst maintaining a sense of the countryside traditions and comfort for our guests.
You can be assured of high 4 star quality.
The spacious cottage is self contained with a private garden and parking area with no neighbouring onlookers apart from the 4 legged variety in neighbouring fields.
Dining table and fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, double elctric fan oven, extractor fan hood, gas hob, washing machine, tumbler dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, kettle, mixers, iron and board etc along with all cutlery, towels, plates, pots and pans you will need.
Bird enthusiasts can take a short boat trip out to the Isle of May, where you will find a nature reserve where puffins, crags, and many more sea birds can be found.
Seals are seen regularly lying on the rocks around the island and if you are lucky you may even spot dolphins or whales.
The East Neuk and surrounding area provides many hidden surprises for visitors, with it's numerous sandy beaches and rock pools that will have children entertained for hours, historical churches and buildings, quaint wynds to meander down and harbours with working fishing boats, there is something which will appeal to everyone.
1/4 mile and we are the only place on the left of the road with a sign at the bottom of our private road.
From Ceres Spar shop junction turn left onto St. Andrews road then immediately right taking the Anstruther Road and follow out of the village until you come to the top of the hill.
Turn right at the blue cycle sign post for New Gilston / Peat Inn and follow this road approx. 1 mile and we are on the left at the top of the hill.
