Services
Besides opening our doors for visitors to Temple Lodge we are endeavoring to keep alive a feeling for the history and architecture of the building itself.
Its listing by English Heritage acknowledges this legacy and there is still much that needs to be found out from earlier centuries.
There is opportunity for more historical research.
The history of the house during the time that Sir Frank Brangwyn lived here makes for fascinating reading and an interest in this and his life's work and story can be followed up with an acquaintance of the website of Libby Horner: Brangwyn Bazaar.
Temple Lodge was created originally as a club to serve our guests and long standing friends in a warm and intimate manner.
We have now extended our small charge of 2 for club membership to include free Wifi, 10% discount on our organic Weleda Cosmetic range, 10% discount on Rude Health organic breakfast products, 5% discount on all Floris Books which are available in-house to purchase, plus a generous 15% discount on food on the A la Carte Menu at The Gate Vegetarian Restaurant which is housed on our property.
The Hammersmith Broadway Centre, rebuilt during the last 25 years, may now be considered the centre of Hammersmith.
It serves as our main and central travel hub from which all destinations may be reached.
It combines the underground station - Piccadilly and District lines - with bus and coach station on two levels and just across the road is the terminus of the Circle and Hammersmith and City and lines.
All of London, both inner and outer, and then much further afield can easily be reached.
It also houses offices of major national and international companies.
A recent extension to the guesthouse led to the creation of this spacious and modern double bedroom.
It is tucked away at the furthest corner of the house on the second floor and offers privacy and maximum comfort.
It has private bathroom facilities and is furnished with a Queen sized bed, built in wardrobe, desk and chair, two easy chairs and table and a coffeemaker.
With big windows on both sides and glass doors leading onto a private balcony with table and chairs, the room boasts views to both the garden and courtyard.
We are extremely proud to be able to offer three new, exciting rooms to our guests at Temple Lodge.
These unique and elegant rooms have been designed and purpose built so that they overlook our lovely garden, giving guests the feeling that they're occupying a tastefully furnished en-suite Garden Room.
They are situated far enough away for privacy from the main house but close enough to walk across the newly paved pathways to the dining room, where you can enjoy a delicious organic breakfast.
The breakfast is of course included in our very reasonable room tariff.
