Lodge House B & B
Lodge House is a comfortable B&B set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills in Somerset, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Vegetarian and light options, using local produce where possible, free range eggs from our own hens, homemade bread and home made preserves. Our 2 rooms are south-facing, comfortable guest bedrooms with antique furniture and modern touches, perfect for peace and quiet.

The house dates back to the 1750's and retains fine original features. We are approx 750 feet above sea level here, and the air is clean and pure. A footpath runs past our front door and the only traffic is the occasional walker or horse rider. The views from here are amazing, the peace and tranquility are second to none, making Lodge House B&B an ideal place for a stress-relieving break, away from the hustle and bustle of busy everyday life.

WeekendersThe Blackdown Hills can seem like a different world for those people who have the need to get away but do not have the time to go too far.

We have a 5 star rating for Food Safety and Hygiene, awarded by South Somerset District Council.
Breakfast is served between 8.00am and 9.30pm in our south facing dining room, overlooking the front garden, (other times by request).
We source our food using fresh local ingredients, organic where possible, and with the principle of low food miles very much in mind.
Eggs are from our own free-range chickens, the honey is from our bees and the jam is homemade from our fruit bushes and trees when available.
Your host Kathy Arnold is also a qualified complementary therapist, who has a treatment room on the 2nd floor of Lodge House.
Why not combine your stay at Lodge House with a session or two of Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Hopi Ear Candles or Indian Head Massage?
Kathy qualified in Reflexology in 1995 and in Aromatherapy in 1996 from ITEC (International Therapy Examination Council).
She is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (part of Embody) and insured through them.
She is also registered by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the government backed UK regulatory body for complementary healthcare practitioners.
If walking, cycling or bird watching is your chosen recreation then the Blackdown Hills is an ideal spot for a short break.

We are very close to Neroche forest where you can walk or cycle the herepaths.
There is even an audiovisual digital trail guide to the Staple Fitzpaine herepath that is available to hire.
